With something for everyone, make it known that guests are welcomed for happy hour and apps, four-course meals, and everything in between.
What should you do when an old bank "out East", which is in a bad state, comes up for sale? It's a great place to start a restaurant. Fill it with local Caribbean and Creole flavours, give it a name that is a bit outlandish, like Madfish Grill and open it up as the first mom-and-pop fish restaurant in your neighborhood.
Our eclectic eatery has evolved over the past two decades and we are delighted to satisfy the palates of both regulars and newcomers. If you have dined with us often, chances are you've helped morph a few of our most popular dishes - because we take your suggestions to heart, and we enjoy a menu tweak from time to time.
Guests are welcome for happy hour, apps, four-course dinners, and everything between. Come and taste our local produce, including fresh fish. Experience our classic bartending. And while we're making suggestions: order our crunchy macadamia-crusted shrimp at least once.

Flavorful Seafood Dishes Sarasota
I recently tried out Madfish Grill for the first time and was exceptionally pleased with the experience. I was wondering if I would find anything I like, as my children are the seafood lovers and I am not. Our server, Joe, suggested that I try their flat iron steak and I was quite pleased with the seasoning and it came cooked medium rare, just as I had requested. I also was delighted to see that truffle fries were on the menu, which seems to be a rare find. They came with a dill sauce that was to die for. The broccoii was brilliantly seasoned and cooked perfectly. To top it all off the bread came with a unique fresh garlic and olive oil dip which teased my tasted buds. Joe suggested some delicious desserts for my kids and they made a special ending to our visit. I will be sure to return again anytime we visit the Sarasota area
Any day is a good day for happy hour at MFG. Rita’s latest and greatest concoction, the skinny piña colada on the rocks. Delicious! Light and vibrant with coconut water. Ben and Company always aim to please with innovative and rotating menus and seasonal cocktails. Great menu and great staff. We love the Madfish Grill.

I may have reviewed it already, but it deserves repeating. This is a gem of a place. When I asked the manger which platform to post my review he said they were busy enough. I know that could sound wrong to some, so to clarify, it was 5 pm on Wednesday and the place was packed. Food is very good with fresh seafood and original dishes. If you're traveling, it's a short hop off of I 75.
